This book is a must read for anyone that is thinking about or currently trading forex. Harry Banes starts out without a clue how to begin, like many novice traders, and is able to figure out how to become a better person and a better trader through discipline and hard work. This is a great book and was tough to put down. Rob does a great job of showing you what not to do during the initial stages of your trading career and what to do when you are really ready to get going.

I enjoyed reading this book. Certainly a different perspective than the run of the mill “technical” forex book. It’s not a book I would refer to again, about the same as I would not re-read a James Patterson book.

There are things that are going on in this book that I was facing at the time. Like how you explain to your wife that you traded away the vacation money. This is formatted much like the Alchemist by Paulo Coelho and that was probably why I liked it so much. I wish the book was longer.

Rob has a “second career” in writing, for my money. He puts you in the place of Harry Baines, beginning trader, and takes you on an educational and fun ride on Forex Express. I was both encouraged and warned, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. . .

It is an enjoyable book to read. There are a lot of brutally honest moments where the Harry’s emotions get the best of him. It all comes down to research and discipline. Even though the main character goes through a lot to become successful, it does tend to make it sound much easier that reality. And it’s a bit pricey for a novel, this isn’t a book about techniques. Still I would recommend it for traders or aspiring traders in any market.
